Naomi Announces Pregnancy and Vacates WWE Women’s World Championship.
WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi has officially vacated her title after announcing her pregnancy live on the August 18 episode of Monday Night RAW in Philadelphia.
The announcement came in front of a packed crowd at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, where Naomi broke the news about her pregnancy and her future with WWE.
She shared the news alongside a preview clip from an upcoming episode of “What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon.”
In the video, her husband, Jimmy Uso, confirmed the pregnancy, which received loud applause from the fans.
“You deserve it.”
During the segment, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce attempted to take the championship belt, but Naomi refused at first, expressing frustration over having to relinquish a title again.
She eventually placed her custom championship in the ring, signaling the continuation of The Bloodline legacy and assuring fans of her eventual return.
Naomi’s reign as champion lasted 36 days and included a successful title defense against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam.
Triple H Shares Heartfelt Instagram Post of Naomi’s Emotional Moment
After Naomi shared her pregnancy news and gave up her WWE Women’s World Championship, Triple H posted a video on Instagram that showed a very special moment backstage.
In the video, The Glow is clearly emotional. She first hugs her husband, Jimmy Uso, and then Triple H gives her a big, supportive hug. People around them applauded, showing how much everyone in WWE cares and supports her.
In his caption, Triple H wrote:
“Couldn’t be happier for [@trinity_fatu] & [@jonathanfatu]! Some things matter more than championships. #WWERaw.”
Naomi’s announcement also opens the door to new developments in the WWE women’s division.
Naomi’s Achievements in WWE
Before stepping away, Naomi carved out a decorated career:
- Two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion
- Winner of the first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal (2018)
- Part of the landmark storylines that elevated WWE’s women’s division.
- Ended her hiatus in 2024 and claimed the Women’s World Championship at Evolution after defeating IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
What Happens to the WWE Women’s World Championship Now?
With Naomi vacating the WWE Women’s World Championship, fans are already asking the big question: who will be the next champion?
WWE is expected to announce how it will crown a new champion, possibly through a tournament or multi-woman match. This wouldn’t be the first time WWE has had to do this.
In 2020, Becky Lynch stepped away from WWE due to her pregnancy, holding both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. WWE later split the titles, and Asuka was crowned the RAW Women’s Champion.
So, who are the top contenders right now?
- Rhea Ripley – a dominant force on the red brand and one of the strongest challengers in the women’s division.
- IYO SKY – recently fought Naomi and could be making another run for the gold.
- Bianca Belair – widely seen as the face of the division and always in the title picture.
- Stephanie Vaquer – she became the No. 1 Contender for the Women’s World Championship after winning a Battle Royal at Evolution.
With the championship now vacant, WWE has a chance to shake up the women’s division, create fresh rivalries, and set the stage for huge storylines heading into the fall season.
